Getting started: The first step on the journey

Why am I doing this?  Why would I care about getting back in shape?  It's important for my future health to ensure that my weight and body are in a working order to minimize all future potential issues.  Also...Who wouldnt want to look totally awesome naked ;)  Finding methods for how to both lose the weight and build muscle mass will have to be attacked from a couple fundimental areas.

1) Diet (70% of a workout is actually what you eat)

2) Working out with the minimal amount required. 

Diet:

I will be following a combination of a couple my favorite authors, Tim Ferriss (The 4 Hour Body) and Mark Sisson (The Primal Blueprint).  There are fundimental principles of each that will be taken and combined to form my diet.  The hardest part for me is trying to integrate my diet with my wife's need for a variety of food and how to make sure my house doesnt have any foods that will ruin my diet.  More details later as I get my notes together as this is just the start.

Workout:

Minimum workout for maximum results is what I am shooting for.  I am by no means a gymrat, but who knows...I might do some various things that could lead me that way.  Focus will be on body weight exercises and compound movements to get max return.  There will be more info later as I get everyhting together but man...It's mighty sexy times.

This is going to be a lot of fun, but first thing is getting my baseline and before measurements/pics up and ready to rock.
